Paintings

I found painting again in the first covid lockdown, I was furloughed and completely at a loss as to what to do with all my time.

A good friend who is a retired art teacher taught me the basics of watercolour, the other techniques I dragged out of my memory or I have taught myself over the past couple of years.

I love painting and find it very therapeutic (when it goes right!) I now split my time between my graphics career and painting.

I am lucky to have had the addition of a summer house added to my garden to give me the space to enjoy my painting (when I am not distracted by the view!)

Just a quick word about the framed pictures. All of the frames are recycled from charity shops, there are scratches, divots and chips. The reason I use these is because most people will frame paintings to match their own decor, these frames just give you an idea of what your painting could look like, which is far better than a floppy bit of canvas and recycling something that could end up in landfill.

For their own protection, I will only send small canvases, anything over 12" will need to be collected, or we could come to some arrangement where you can pick it up from an event. I have had so many items damaged by every delivery company, I am just unwilling to take the risk. Please feel free to call me before you purchase so we can discuss a plan if you so wish.

I combine various techniques and styles for my paintings, from traditional landscapes, to the more abstract acrylic pours, with the occasional watercolour.

Most are on stretched canvas with the occasional framed piece.

I do take commissions, please contact me for more details.
